Your Elpha Secure portal login is protected with MFA through SMS text messages by default, but other options are available if you:
Don't have a company work phone that receives SMS text messages
Don't feel comfortable receiving SMS text messages on your personal phone
It's not possible to change the default MFA method on your own. Please reach out to our team to reset the default MFA method for your Elpha Secure portal account (see contact information at the bottom of this page).
Once the Elpha Secure team has authorized your new MFA method, you can follow the instructions in the guide below to complete the setup.
This guide features Google Authenticator as the alternative MFA method, but 1Password and other authenticator applications are activated in a similar manner.
Setting up the Google Authenticator Mobile Application:
Download the Google Authenticator Application from the App Store or the Google Play Store to your mobile device.
Log into Google Authenticator Application on your mobile device with the email account you use for your Elpha Secure portal account.
Check your inbox for an Elpha Secure email invitation to create a portal account or to reset your account information on your company device.
Follow the link in that invite to log into your Elpha Secure Portal on your company device.
On the Mobile Authenticator Setup page on your company device, link your Elpha Secure account to the Google Authenticator Application on your mobile device. Here's how to do that:
Click on the + icon at the bottom of the screen on your mobile device.
Click Scan a QR code on your mobile device, then capture the QR code that will appear on the Mobile Authenticator Setup page.
A confirmation window will appear to confirm link was successful on your company device.
Navigate to the Google Authenticator Application home screen on your mobile device to retrieve your one-time code and input this on the Mobile Authenticator Setup page on your company device.
Note: Codes are valid for about 30 seconds.
Your Elpha Secure account has been set up with a new MFA method. Next time you log in, use the Google Authenticator Application on your mobile device.
